After trying to export my bill of materials, I have found that it is not properly exporting into Excel. It opens as a bunch of code instead of giving me the table that I am trying to acquire.

Hi Henry,
The information you provided so far is enough for me to comment further. Could you attach an example of the assembly (iam and ipt files) and describe the exact workflow you used to export the BOM?
Many thanks!
It looks like you are actually clicking the export for the Inventor BOM SETTINGS.
Note that there are 2 "Export" buttons in the Bill of Materials window.
The one you want to be using is in the top left corner of the window.
The export function from the top left is greyed out. I am unable to click it. Is there some place that I can go to turn that on?
Hello @Anonymous when you are trying to export the BOM have you enabled either Structured or Parts Only?
Once you do this it will become highlighted and you can export to multiple different formats.
Hope that helps!
