Good Morning Everyone!
I am working with Inventor 2023 Tube & Pipe. I am building butt-welded pipe assemblies, however at my facility to maintain proper pipe separation and ensure a good weld we use weld rings between pipe segments, between pipes and elbows, etc. What I am trying to figure out is how I can automate the insertion of these weld rings.
For example: Right now when I create a pipe spool assembly if I want to have a bend in my pipe I need to create an initial pipe route then end it. Next, I have to manually insert a weld ring, elbow, then a second weld ring before I can start another route. If I used a single route, Inventor would create the two pipe segments and automatically add the elbow at the bend but I would be lacking the weld rings and would still have to place them manually. I would like it to automatically place them all.
Any ideas would be appreciated!
