algorithm for setting dimensions

Hi!

I am practicing in using dimensions.

For this purpose I use spline

3 more dimensions are required

I use degrees of freedom, but I still don't understand what are the additional dimensions.
Is there any algorithm for defining required dimensions?

Thanks!

Hi Shiva,

you can help yourself just moving your sketch.

Here the 3 missing dimensions.

I didn't open your part but from the image it appears your spline is floating in space.  Meaning there's no dimension from the origin (that's 2 of the dimensions its looking for).   This was pointed out to you in another posting you had about required dimensions.    Not sure what you're trying to accomplish here but sometimes you don't need a fully constrained sketch.

For example...  I have this revolved sketch..  My main geometry is dimensioned by my geometry representing the centerline (axis of revolution) is not,  So I  will always have 1 dimension needed but in this case I don't care how long the line is for the center line.  But as always I started my sketch using the origin.1-9-2016 9-05-56 AM.jpg
