250UB26 not in the content centre

I have had to update my frame in frame generator, and I noticed 250UB26 is not in the content centre. the smallest UB is 250UB31 in the library. Is there a reason for this? Is there a way to add that section into the content centre?

The content libraries provided by Autodesk with Inventor are read-only, so you are not able to modify them.  However, any content library you create is editable, so the normal process is to copy the UB family (in this case) to your custom library, then edit the Family Table to add the sizes that you need.

Post back here with further questions if you can't figure it out.  The Inventor 2026 Help should assist.

If the 250UB26 isn’t showing up in the Content Center, it usually means the part or model hasn’t been added to your library yet. You can try these steps:

  • Make sure your Content Center libraries are fully installed and up to date.

  • Check that the library category you’re searching in actually includes that part type.

  • Sometimes, certain parts have different names or numbers in the library—try searching by a partial name or standard size.

  • If it’s a custom or less common part, you may need to create it manually and add it to your private Content Center library.

Do you want me to give a quick method for adding a missing part manually so you can use it right away?

I have just installed the latest version 26, I dont know why that member isn't in there it is a very common member. Yes please I would like to add a missing part a quick way, If not I will get it reengineered and go up to 250UB32

I have had to update my wireframe and increase the frame by 500mm, and the model has destroyed itself. Now the custom section I made to be 250ub26 has dissappeared out of my content centre. Is there any reason why it would get removed?

Did you migrate you custom content centre to the latest version of Inventor?

No, I did no software updates or anything. I just got an updated design, and extended my wireframe. And end up with a serious amount of issues coming out of it. All my bolts do not work, my custom members have disappeared off my computer completely. It's getting to the point that I am going to use a different brand software that will recreate the structural members in less than 10 percent of the time. I have had nothing but trouble with new Autodesk software

Sounds as if the project you are currently using does not have the same location for Content Center parts as the project under which your design was created.  Content Center part location is determined by the active project file (.ipj), which can either specify the folder explicitly, or simply default to the folder named in Application Options.

In addition, the active project also defines which Content Libraries are available to it.  My guess is that you're not using the same project that you used to create this model, so your Content Center stuff is not connected.  Either change to the correct .ipj file or edit your current one to connect to the correct CC libraries and parts.
