Hello, new to the Inventor forums, was hoping someone could help me with an issue I've been having.
When I go to nest parts they'll show up in the tree/browser but not in the viewport window. Additionally, the nesting study is not working and seems to do nothing at all even if it pops up in the tree as generating nests. This is a recent issue and was not happening three days ago. It happens on all parts/assemblies.
I have checked for corrupted files and improper settings on assemblies/parts. There does not seem to be an obvious problem there.
Has anyone else had something like this occur and/or knows what might be done about it?
I made some progress in determining what the issue isn't.
- I cleared the TMP folder
- File pathing is fine
- I updated all software
- I updated the computer
However, I also found that when I select Nest Authoring --> Preview Nestable Shape then I get a loading wheel with nothing happening. I waited for several minutes just in case.
Furthermore, when checking the shape properties I see that the Measurements are completely off. The part is 37in by 9.5in, but is displayed or read as 30x30in.
I use nesting alot. this happened to me yesterday afternoon. before leaving to go home i restarted my computer for other reasons, then opened inventor and tried nesting again and it worked fine - same job. this morning i start my PC and nesting is back at it. the source file wont compely load in the pop up window, nor open in the nest environment. no errors of faults, just wont open. is it possible this needs a bug fix?
Good to know I'm not the only one. I've gone through every solution I can think of, so at this point I would agree with the idea that it's a bug. I've heard of one other person having a similar issue, but their solution does not work for me.
