Render Server Not showing

My user has installed Backburner and can locate our Render server just fine. But when going through the Render setup in Max they don't appear.

Any suggestions?

Edit: To Clarify- When the user types in the Server location into the subnet field and hits Connect, the user's PC name appears instead of the Server.

Okay, let's get the jargon down so we all know what we're talking about.  With Backburner, there are two main components.  One is called Manager, which receives and manages the network render jobs.  The other is called Server, which runs on the machines doing the actual rendering.  Backburner (BB) Manager would be running on the machine that your user wants to send a job to, and the name (or IP) of this machine is what should be typed into the field asking for Manager Name or IP Address.  Make sure to uncheck the Automatic Search box first if it isn't already.

Once connected to the Manager, there should be a list of all computer names that are running BB Server to the right.  If I understand, your user is seeing their own computer name there.  If it has a grey dot next to it, that means that server had connected to the Manager at some point but is not available at this time.  If it is green, that server is idle and waiting for the next job.  Yellow means it is currently working on a job.  Red means bad things are happening.

If you don't see a Server computer name in there that you think you should, then it is likely one of two common problems.  The first is that the machine sending the job and the other machines running Server do not all have the same Service Packs installed.  The other, less common issue I see, is that one machine is running 3ds Max and another is running 3ds Max DESIGN.  Although very, very similar, they are still different and can't render network jobs sent by the other.

If this doesn't help, please explain your issue a little more thoroughly for use.  Thanks, and good luck!
