can't reach installed components

when i open autocad the following appears

this is generally not a problem but yesterday i was trying to edit a block and the same thing came up and i had to stop autocad from the task manager and reload a saved copy of the drawing. Any suggestions as to what is causing this.

If  you start AutoCAD in safemode and the error doesn’t come up then it could be one of the addons installed. You may want to uninstall the offending one

Time to try a reset and if that doesn’t work then a repair or reinstall
