Perpetual License & maintenance

We have a perpetual license to AutoCAD LT 2016.

We paid for the maintenance and received 2017 version, but NOT INSTALLED.

We want to stop paying for maintenance as we don't need it.

Will we be able to move our perpetual 2016 licences to new computers when we need to?

Or even install 2017 when we choose to. Ie. not rush into buying new computers at the moment.

Perpetual license means you own it for the life of your company, do with it what you wish.

You can re-install and re-activate the 2016 license as long as the OS supports doing so. Being "off maintenance" you are not entitled to any releases newer than what you are last entitled to.

Keep in mind though, it is both cheaper and in your best interest to pay your maintenance fee (even if you do not use it) then it is to let it lapse and then have to buy new. Perpetual seats are like gold. If you had a bar of gold, would you just throw it away because you don't need it right now?
