Hi, please help me with my issue it says in the error that Failed to obtain IP address of the machine. I think the IP was already changed and I forgotten the previous or registered IP address. How can I access my Mechanical Network license?

If the above KB doesn't help and if you know the IP address of the NLM server, you can manually put it in your hosts file and it will always be able to resolve it.

File is located here:

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

File is called hosts.  Edit it with notepad.

Put the IP then the hostname.  I usually put the NetBIOS name and the FQDN.  So like:

123.45.67.890    servername  servername.domain.com

Save it. It might be protected, so you might have to save to your Desktop.  Make sure it doesn't have a .txt extension.  If it does, rename it. Then move it back into the folder and overwrite the old hosts.  You can then PING the servername from a CMD prompt and it should resolve.

If your NLM is on the same machine that you are using, it could just be a local host problem.  You can check out my solution for that here:

Good Luck!
