Interested in Revit LT Suite subscription, but no internet connection

Hello,

I am interested in getting a Revit LT Suite subscription, but I only use the hotspot feature on my phone as my internet connection, which has limited data (I do most of my work at the public library, but need to be able to work at home as well.).  Would I need to be constantly connected to the internet to use a subscription lisence?

Also, I found the topic of working at home with a subscription license; would I be able to use the software on my laptop when I am in the library, but on my desktop computer when I am at home?  I suppose that both computers would need to be connected to the internet at the same time in order to be able to do the transfer(?).

Thanks for your help,

Bennett

For Desktop Subscription, you need to have a constant internet connection.  If you just order a stand-alone license, you can run it on your machine offline.

Thank you, Travis.

That's pretty disappointing to hear. What if I had to take my laptop to a construction site and work with the model while I was there? Would I be S.O.L.?

Thanks

Hi,

Desktiop Subscription is a "Named User" Model - only "Named Users" in this Desktiop Subscription - managed per Autodesk Account have access to the Software.

Subscription administrators such as Contract Managers and Software Coordinators can add or remove users for software and services on a Subscription contract in Autodesk Account.

Desktop Subscription Licensing requires an internet connection for License Activation than it is possible to work 30 Days without Internet connection.
If the product is able to make a connection to the Autodesk license servers and the license is still valid then the needs are met. A sign in will not be required for 30 days. But than it is a need to make a connection to the Autodesk license servers again.... and now a sign in will not be required for another 30 days.

Will mean:

Desktop Subscription Software will ask you to login with the Autodesk ID and password that is linked to this Desktop Subscription at least once in 30 days to keep the software running.  There are no activation codes or serial numbers required.  You simply launch the application and it will prompt you for the email address or Autodesk ID and password.  You can work offline if you have logged in at least once in the prior 30 days.

Greetings
Angelika
