You did everything listed on this page?

When you say you contacted support, who exactly are you talking about? Your reseller?

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

In addition to @rkmcswain  reply..   What Autodesk product and version are you talking about?  What hotfix did you apply?

it's for AutoCad Architecture 2020. The hotfix I downloaded was Adsk
Licensing installer.

Is this service there and running?

If the service is there and started..   Stop the service and then restart it to see if that resolves the issue.

Hi rkmcswain,

Yes, I went thru all 10 suggested fixes, but error message still occurs. I
tried contacting Autodesk itself, but they are not available on weekends.
Tried contacting them this morning, and was only able to schedule a phone
call for next week Tuesday as they are fully booked till then per their
website.

Hi Mark,

Are you asking if AutoCad is up and running? It is not, it goes thru the
launch sequence, opens up to the initial desktop then the error message
window opens up..

I didn't ask if AutoCAD was running.   I asked if that given Window service was there and running

I'm not asking if your laptop or Windows is working fine.   Have you gone into Windows services and confirm that services is there and its running?   Perhaps that what you did but your reply sounds like you are telling me Windows and your laptop is working normal.   So I'm not 100% sure if you looked?

Very interesting, I didn't even know you could contact Autodesk for direct support or that they had a website that listed their support backlog.

In any case, did you do your software rental directly through Autodesk, or through a reseller? If the former, did you inquire about the support SLA? When you do your transaction though a reseller, in many cases that includes support that you receive from a human on the same day. The forums here are full of users, like you

my transaction was directly with Autodesk via their website.

That is why you should find out about the support SLA before agreeing to a purchase, or in this case, a rental.

So it sounds like you never checked to see if that Windows service is there and running?  Is that correct?   Operation of the 2020 product line relies on that service..   So if you haven't checked, can you?

Autodesk product and version?  Is this related to the 2020 version?
