C: drive has over 50GB available

Installation File is downloaded and executed locally.

I have never had problems installing other Autodesk updates on this computer.

Search for a solution yields no useful results

Any suggestions? Thanks.

You're not the first REVIT user that cannot install the 2023.1 update in these forums my friend today: seems to be an issue that needs to be escalated out of these forums to program managers.

That's the 2nd ticket in the last hour I've seen.

One I helped, it installed, errored 101 and is still in the Autodesk Desktop app.

Wondering if it's in part the outage

The cause of this error is unclear but hopefully we can identify it by reviewing the install log files.  Could you collect the following files into a zip file and post them for review?
From the Windows temp folder:
RevitUnitSchemas_2023_install.log
FormIt360Converter_2023_install.log
GenerativeDesignRevitInstaller_2023_install.log
RVTSP5_2023_{7346B4A0-2300-0510-0000-705C0D862004}_install.log
PACR_2023_install.log
REX Framework_2023_install.log
RVTCPSTLCON_2023_install.log
RCLCRVT_2023_install.log

From the C:\Users\michnitadmin\AppData\Local\Autodesk\ODIS folder:
Install.log
Summary.log

From what I've seen / observed so far

I think it's in part due to the Autodesk outage. It's getting installed via the desktop app.

That's only where I'm seeing it vs downloading it from the Account manager ( currently )

Attached is the ZIP file.  A couple of the log files don't exist.

I am getting the same 101 error installing it via Desktop App yesterday (the reason I downloaded the installation file to run it locally) and again just now.  I will try it tomorrow.

The log files did not provide a clear answer so it might be wise to collect the full set of log files using the collection tool https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-U....

Additionally, could you check the Windows Add/Remove Programs list and report the version of Autodesk Identity Manager?

After further investigation, we believe the root of this problem is a newer version of Autodesk Identity Manager being installed.  If you have a version greater than 1.2.77.0, uninstalling it should allow the Revit 2023.1 Update to complete successfully.

Am I running any into troubles with other Autodesk programs if I do it?  This warning is not exactly encouraging.

While the warning is serious, it should not be a problem as the installation of the Revit 2023.1 Update includes an earlier version of the Autodesk Identity Manager.  So you are only temporarily removing this component before replacing it with a version that is known to work with shipping versions of Autodesk products.

Just to confirm, that uninstall of Autodesk Identity Manager works well for Revit 2023.1 update. Update installed succesfully.

the same error to me... it seems installer is searching a RVT.MSI in a temp folder, but no way...

impossible to install on my main PC with windows 11; at home, with 10 non problems

this time error 1612

Seeing about 4-5 tickets a day for this.   Most don't have the RVT.MSI in the C:/Autodesk ..

Downloading and extracting the installer tends to help resolve it.

However I do believe there is an issue ( issues within the installer itself and probably should get pulled and reviewed)

The missing RVT or Error 101

if 101, look at the following option

After further investigation, we believe the root of this problem is a newer version of Autodesk Identity Manager being installed.  If you have a version greater than 1.2.77.0, uninstalling it should allow the Revit 2023.1 Update to complete successfully.

Anthony,

I have 100+ computers to uninstall this so I can install the Revit 2023.1.1 service pack.   When I pull up the help for the .\AdskIdentityManager\Unistall.exe it does not list any switches for 'quiet'. Similarly, I cannot find a msiexec code to forcibly uninstall it. How can I automate the uninstall of this?

It always throws this dialog box:

My other CAD is a Cadillac and I like to Revit to the Max!
