Customize setup.exe or setup.ini files for older version of ACAD

Is it possible to modify the setup files for ACAD 2018 so that it does not check to see if the program is already installed?  I need to do this since when I try, after doing a clean uninstall and many other suggested steps, the installation program checks for and finds that the core programs are already installed.  Unfortuanately they are not and I am looking for a way around this

Does it not show up in Control Panel?  You will probably have to remove its registration from the registry.

Hi,
It does not appear in the Control Panel. I have deleted everything in
the Registry that has Autocad or Autodesk in its name. I have also
deleted any file or folder with those words as well and I have been very
through about the process including any hidden files. That is why I am
now thinking that modifying the setup files might be a path forward

Unlikely.  I think Windows handles to the looking for that, not the setup.ini.

You might check for the GUIDs in these registry locations:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Thanks Travis.  I went through those registry folders but found nothing
to do with Auto Cad/Desk.  There was something from FLEX
