When i importe data from civil 3d to IW the application give a list of alignment and enable user to chose which aligments and corridor come along with them should be use. Hello   Id like the cross section to keep the zoom level when moving the yellow tracker along the road. Default zoom in cross section view is always to small for my narrow roads, i need to zoom in all the time. I often will grab high res screenshots of site aerials from Google Earth and bring them into IW as terrain overlays as a quick way to improve ground imagery in a small area. Or photoshopped site plans from an architect to depict proposed design. I'm against such tight deadlines that I honestly do not have time to go through the process of geolocating ground imagery or figure out another method. Problem is, all my coverage areas are then covered and there is no way to move them on top. PLEASE DEVELOP A WAY TO MOVE COVEREAGE AREAS ABOVE TERRAIN OVERLAYS. Once opening the dialog box of the Export to 3D Model File, its size is large, enough that the export button is off the screen. That is not a problem until I try to move the dialog box up to bring the export button into frame or minimize the size in order to better manipulate it, and once doing so, it disappears. It seems I can only click on anything Infraworks again after I hit the ESC key. This might be blown out of proportion but if anyone has any advice or direction, that would be much appreciated.  Show More

In the model explorer you can turn on and off categories (i.e. buildings, trees) but you cannot turn off individual data sources (using the lightbulb tool in the Model Explorer). This seems like a simple fix and this function already exists with other Autodesk Software like Revit and AutoCAD so why not Infraworks? Especially since Infraworks is the ideal place to compile and view diverse data sources. It makes sense that you would want to turn them on and off on occasion.   This also helps when one data source has been imported but you are unsure if it is actually showing up in the 3D view.  Show More

The biggest issue is... it's JUMPY!  I'm not sure where the logic is that if I move it a certain direction that it should skip to the next set of girders, but as it is this is not a good user control. Combining the features and functions from both Traffic Simulation and Mobility Simulation in one new integrated platform. In the current situation. Now that we have linear decorations, it would be great if there were a way to create grouping of elements and save this grouping as a style. For instance, you could create a linear decoration containing a street lamp at 100 ft intervals, then trees every 25ft with a metal grate, a parking meter every 20ft, and finally parking signs every 75 ft. You would then select the street lamp linear decoration, right-click, save to library (style) and select all the items you want to include in the grouping. Next time you create a component road, you can place a decoration and select a single item or the grouping style.    This would save a ton of time when creating more complex decoration assemblies such as a barrier with a railing and mile markers. You could then export the styles and reuse them on multiple projects.  Show More

When the family of a girder or a tunnel is deleted (or doesn't sync right) then NOTHING shows up in the model. This means that you have nothing to select to change to a different family. Instead, it should show a default profile (maybe a string of IFX Cubes) that the users can then select to change to a family from. Show More

The ability to bring in position representations and view representations from Inventor into Infraworks. The users would also be able to state whether the positions are keyframes for an animation (which Infraworks then loops through). Very easy way for users to be able to add animated components as they require, especially if the keyframes can be used to control the animations. Show More
