Allow styles to be assigned to all geometry elements

Hi,

I've recently had some difficulties trying to generate a project proposal for a rail project.

Basically, the simple geometry tools available for rail at the moment didnt provide enough control for the proposal to look any good.

I have access to the Road design module, so can generate a design horizontal and vertical alignment, but can then only assign "road" styles to this alignment.

Why not allow all styles that make sense (linear styles, like the roads, and rail, and whatever else there is) to be applied to that real geometry element.

Sure, the geometry isnt strictly Rail geometry... but at least its significnatly better than the simple geometry draped on existing ground that is available for Rail styles now.

Does the ability to compose a road style that looks like rail meet your needs?

Archived ideas are not being considered for implementation at this time. I wish we could implement all of them - having to pass on ideas, because all of them have merit.
