I've got a Doosan Lynx LSYB, and I use the Doosan mill / turn post processor. I've got a couple of toolholders that will hold up to four tools, and remembering the offsets for each tool can get a little tricky. I've talked to a few other people who have a mnemonic like add 50 to the offset, which works ok for two tools, but again gets confusing when you've got more than two tools per station. Mixing up those offsets, especially if one offset is for the main spindle and one offset is for the sub spindle, is a crash for sure. I have parameter #5028 set to 4, which lets me use the lower three digits of a T code to specify the offset. This makes the offsets a little more clear (in my opinion) when you've got multiple tools per station. For example: T01001 - First tool T01101 - Second tool T01201 - Third tool T01301 - Forth tool I suspect I'm not the only person to do this? I've added a "Three digit compensation offsets" to my machine properties, and modified the Doosan mill / turn post processor to output 5 digit T codes when this property is enabled. Could this feature be added to the post processor? Happy to submit a patch. I did notice when the puma_mx machine is selected, it will output 5 digit T codes already. Maybe other machines will use 5 digit T codes as well? Thanks! ~jeff
