What am I doing wrong?

I've spent many hours researching the web and can't find an answer to my problem.  I'd like to draft on AutoCAD 2017 on my MAC and import to Fusion 360.  The source and target units on AutoCAD are set to millimeters but when I import into Fusion it still lists them as millimeters but scales the drawing as if it were drawn in inches.

For example, the drawing in AutoCAD is 152.4 millimeters wide but when I import it into Fusion 360 it shows it as 3,871 millimeters wide.   I used Google to convert inches to millimeters and 152.4 inches is exactly 3,871 millimeters.

So why is my AutoCAD drawing drafted and saved in millimeters but scaled in Fusion 360 as if it were drawn in inches?

Recently added a cnc router to the shop and really need to get these parts cut out tonight and don't want to pull out the little hair that I have left.  🙂

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Dave

Watched countless Youtube videos and found my answer.  Typed in "un"  and changed the Insertion Scale units to mm.  Loaded in Fusion and it's PERFECT!

Still don't understand the purpose of changing to mm though typing "UN" and changing them through Preferences/Units & Guides.

Any advice would be appreciated.
