Ever since the most recent update whenever I attempt to create an STL file from a design, Fusion locks up permanently. The screen goes dim and Windows reports the program is unresponsive. This happens if I choose 'Save as Mesh' or try any of the various options to send to slicer programs etc.
I've tried a full re-install of the program and reset all my preferences to default but the behavior persists.
I noticed there were quite a few changes in the last update around the exporting/saving/printing features, so I assume it's a bug introduced there.
Yes, same freeze when export to step.
I think the problem is with Autodesk servers or network.
This version of Fusion seems to be really messed up, I have other problems also.
Looking around this support forum I'm seeing many threads that all describe the same lock up behavior:
@phil_eichmiller please have a look. This seems to be a more general issue and not related to individual geometries.
I have the exact same problem, have done the same and still couldn't work it out. Same issues with /collaborator on the Network Diagnostics Tool. Made exceptions on firewall but nothing worked. Feel pretty clueless now.
My fusion 360 updated recently. Now i cant export my models to STL or other outputs. Also sending to 3d printer option completely freezes fusion..
did a complete reinstall twice, cleared cashe, and did the network testing option, over cable / wifi and phone network hotspot. The network tool gets stuck at the collaborator line.
My only work around now is to view my previous made models in the fusion web viewer, then select the option export to STL. You get an email with the STL file.
So many people with the exact same problem, yet they don't seem to have any clue. Something clearly was wrong with the update. They could at least undo the update and go from there.
It would help a lot if autodesk pulled back the update and let us roll back 1 or 2 versions!!!
Exactly! Instead they look at every report individually to see where the user goes wrong. I'ts not the user if so many people complain about the same freezing behaviour. It might happen at different actions, but that is because everyone use Fusion in a different way.
Just undo last few updates!
Dear All,
sorry for the long wait time. A new Fusion update has been deployed last week, that has a fix for this issue. Please update and let us know if the issue is solved for you.
