Paremetric sketch

Hello, is it possible to create a sketch  that is common to several design  so we can import or cut and paste  the sketch  and this will  adjust the

bodies/components  in all other design?

Is it possible to cut and paste a sketch from a design to another?

Hi,

Yes this is totally possible.

To use a master sketch in many designs.

  1. First make a design that contains this sketch.
  2. Then insert it as a linked design, aka xref, aka distributed design, into any other design.
  3. Then use it to make 3D geometry with Extrude or your favorite 3D command that works with sketches.
  4. If you update the source sketch, all designs that reference it will update.

It is possible to copy and paste a sketch from one design to another using components. There is no connection between the copied sketch and the source.

  1. First create a component.
  2. Activate it.
  3. Make a sketch.
  4. Copy the component node.
  5. Go to new design.
  6. Right click on any component node.
  7. Paste New.

Please let me know if I can answer any more questions.

Thanks,
