Error in STL-files?

When i 3d print a design to Simplify3D or Cura and i sent the output to a 3D Print Utility, everything works just fine.

However when i output to a STL-file and import that file to S3D, it crashes. Cura gives me a: invalid file.

Is there any reason why i cant import the STL-file?

I attached a sample STL-file which is giving problems.

Can you File>Export and then Attach the *.f3d file that is returning this stl file?  (the file appears to be completely empty)

Attached the simpelest bracket i made for a P4 panel.

I have to mention again, if i 3D print this to a 3D Print utility it imports into S3D and Cura flawless.

I had no trouble creating valid stl file from your *.f3d file.

Can you create a Screencast Recording showing how you are Exporting the body to stl?

Hmm... I am able to export an STL from this model, and re-import it into Fusion OK.  Fusion does crash if I import the STL you attached above, though.  What settings are you using for export?

Ok guys, i figured this out (yeahhh)

It seems i was exporting the wrong way?

If i use Make->3D Print and didnt print to a 3D Print Utility, it creates a STL-file, but was giving me errors like i mentioned.

But when i right-click on a Bodie and save as a STL-file, everything works ok.

The Format->Binary option in jeff.strater's post made me dig into this further.

Thank you all for your help in this 🙂
