can't save or export my file !

Hello there... I hope everyone doing will

I have a problem, I'm working on a model for about 3 hours, but the save icon got gray (not clickable) so as the export option, also when trying to go to "live review"it tells me to go online...!

is there any chance my work won't lost?

Hi @NOURALDEEN

Thanks for posting! I am sorry to hear that you appear to be unable to save or export your Fusion designs.

Is this problem only occurring in one dataset? If you create a new file, are you allowed to save it?

The first suggestion I have is to manually create a recovery file and back it up somewhere on your system. The instructions to manually create and locate a locally saved recovery file are at this link

It seems like you may be experiencing the same behavior as described on this thread, so I would like to have you try the process described below after manually creating the back-up file.

  1. With your model (the one that is unsaved) still open, create a new blank file (so there will now be two tabs open, the new blank model and the unsaved model).
  2. Then, go into your preferences (click your name in the top-right corner and then select Preferences). Make sure that "Automatic version on close" is UNCHECKED.
  3. Then, on the new file you created, (just make a simple box or something), hit the X on its tab. This will prompt the file to be saved.
  4. Save it, and now you should be able to go back and save your work normally on the other file.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you continue to experience problems - if you do, gather your diagnostic log files and attach them to this forum thread. I am happy to continue troubleshooting.

I just tried everything you said and I'm having the same problem. The save and export button won't let me click on it, so I can't save my work and I have now managed to loose all my work I have been working on. Any suggestions on what I need to do to be able to save it ? As I have to start again and I don't want the same thing happening!! Very grateful for any help thank you!! 🙂

Sorry to hear you are running into these troubles. Just to check, are you able to save your files now, or are you still experiencing this.

So basically I think the reason it wouldn't save was because my 30 day free trial was over. Because I'm a student my tutor told me I would still be able to use it if I used my student email address and that way it would be free. I could not recover my work as the 30 day free trail was over so I decided to create aother account using my student email address (I got an email to verify my account when I did this) I started by saving my work and I was able to save and edit unfortunately it logged me out and now it says my email address is not verified and that actually I never had an account with this email? I am very confused as I have proof on the email of the new email address I entered and I cannot afford to loose this work again. Is there anyway I could get it back I am very confused.

Followed your instructions and still didn't work. Would it let me model if my term expired or something?

I am trying to make cookie cutters in Fusion, and after making, saving and exporting finished files, I can no longer export my current work. there's no problem with saving, and my free trial is still up for one more week. how should I fix this?
