Save not giving me a file location option

I'm trying to save a drawing file but:

1. The project I created is not showing up in the folder list

2. I'm not being given ANY options on where I can save the drawing file. Clicking the folders in the screenshot don't open the locations and the 'save' button isn't becoming active.

Hi @dsl145,

Thanks for posting! Unfortunately, I'm not too sure what is causing this to happen - I'm going to need a little more information from you to help me troubleshoot this.

Would you be able to send me your diagnostic log files? To collect these, launch Fusion and click the "?" in the upper right corner. Then, from the drop down select "Diagnostic Log Files" as shown below.

Diagnostic Log Files.jpg

One thing you could try would be to save the design while working offline. This will create an item in your local cache that will be uploaded to your project the next time that Fusion goes online. Once the design saves in offline mode, could you try toggling back online to see if that pushes the save through to your project on A360?

One last thing - are you experiencing this behavior with any other design or is it just this one that you are unable to save?

Thanks in advance for the information! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Cheers,

I've attached the diagnostic log. I've got another forum post where I'm having a separate (or not) problem of project folders disappearing. The files I put into them will show up in my recent folder, but then won't let me move them.

Hi @dsl145,

Thanks for getting back to me and for sending those logs along!

I dug into them a little bit, and I'm seeing some certificate issues that might explain your troubles with saving and creating new projects. Could you try navigating to the URL given below and sending me a screenshot of what you are seeing?

https://a360-statusdashboard.s3.amazonaws.com/autodesk_maintenance.json?AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAI3QZAKZMA...

If you are given an option to "trust" this site, would you mind doing so and restarting Fusion 360?

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Cheers,

Hey @dsl145,

It looks like that screenshot didn't make it through. Not too sure what happened there... Would you mind trying to send that over again?

Thanks in advance!

Here's what showed up:

Hi @dsl145,

Thanks for getting back to me! I'm seeing the same thing when I go there so that should be normal. I was more interested though to see if you have the green lock up in the address bar to the left of the URL that would indicate that this is a trusted site. Are you seeing that there?

I have also seen similar issues come up when some users antivirus software was blocking some of the communication with our servers. Would you mind adding the following directory to your antivirus's trust list (may also be called exclusion list, whitelist, or trusted applications) to see if that clears things up?

Windows:
C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\

macOS:
Macintosh HD > Users > *** > Library > Application Support > Autodesk > webdeploy

One thing to note here - "***" should be replaced with the username that you log into your computer with.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

The green lock is indeed there... does that mean it's the anti-virus being
the problem??

Hi @dsl145,

It could be a variety of things. At this point, I'm just having you try one thing at a time rather than a bunch of different things all at once in an attempt to keep this testing as controlled as possible. The exact error message I'm seeing in your logs can be seen below:

E Server Verification Warning - Unable to validate a security certificate. Many times this can be triggered by proxy servers, security software, or out of date OS patches.

This is immediately followed by that URL I asked you to navigate to earlier.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

I've had IT add Fusion 360 to the exemption list, and I've even temporarily turned off all the anti-virus stuff... I'm still getting a server verification error.

Hi @dsl145,

Your symptoms were similar to those that we normally see when users have a duplicate hub in our systems. This is usually caused by changing the email address associated with the Autodesk account. I had sent an email to our A360 team last week to see if they could take a look into our systems to see if that was what had happened here.

I just heard back from them and it looks like you did indeed have a duplicate hub, so when you were going to create the project and save the drawing, some wires on the back end of Fusion were just getting crossed and it wasn't sure which hub it should actually be saving to.

However, they also informed me that that issue has been taken care of and you should only have one hub associated with your account now. Are you still unable to create new projects and save your designs?

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to hearing back from you!

I'm still seeing a server identification error on my work computer and I
think K that is more the cause of the problems. At my work computer, the
Fusion 360 and A360 files are still showing up differently, but I can now
save and work on the files that do show up.

In summary, I think I can work with the files and folders, but the project
names are syncing.
