I have the same problem since the last update last week. All of a sudden i need to hold the cmd button to use scroll zoom. Otherwise the model is just panned up and down.

I use Mac and Big Sur 11.2.2

Thank You

Hi @niklas.nordahlBSGYC ,

Can you check the settings in Preferences? is it matching the same settings that you were using before?

Thank you for your reply Sujay.

I have checked the preferences and the Pan, Zoom... option is set to "Fusion". I have also tried restoring to default and even reinstalled Fusion 360 without success.

I also use Autocad 2021 where the zoom-function works with the scroll wheel.

See screenshot.

Hi

I've tried that and all the other app-specific settings. All result in model panning up and down slowly when I roll the mouse wheel.

Does no one else have this problem after the update?

All My other apps still work the same as before last weeks update of Fusion.

Hi @niklas.nordahlBSGYC ,

I can't reproduce this issue on macOS and Win 10.
Can you please record a screencast video of what you are doing by capturing the keyboard and mouse events.

Hi @niklas.nordahlBSGYC ,

We have wireless 3dConnextion and a CADmouse with cable.
I will see if we can reproduce this issue on a MacOS.

@niklas.nordahlBSGYC

We were not able use CAD mouse on macOS Big Sur, only mouse movements are working no mouse clicks or scroll was working.

I saw there was an update on 3dconnexion webpage regarding support of CAD mouse.

Can you provide us the macOS version you are on?

Hello

I updated the 3DConnexion software to the latest version, but unfortunately no change. Problem persists.

Just for info I also made a screencast in Autocad 2021 where the zoom works.

I have Mac OS version 11.2.3 (20D91)

and the 3DxWare 10, core version 1.2.0 (192), 3DxWare  version 10.7.0 (3318)

Hope you can find a solution to the problem. I keep mixing up the modifyer keys when I do my modeling and it is quite frustrating.

Best regards

Niklas Nordahl

Hi @niklas.nordahlBSGYC

Could you please try latest firmware upgrade provided by 3dconnexion version 10.7.0 [3333]

at https://3dconnexion.com/uk/support/faq/beta-driver-for-macos-11-big-sur/

and please download the CAD mouse updates from  https://3dconnexion.com/uk/support/faq/cadmouse-doesnt-click-on-macos-11-0-big-sur/

This should solve your issue.

@b5.belgie Sorry that you are facing issues with the new track pad experience. To get you moving forward without the new track pad, can you please do the following and see if this unchecks the option?

1. Go to preference -> Uncheck the native trackpad option
2. Apply
3. To the restart select NOT NOW
4. Ok

5. Manually close Fusion 360
6. Start Fusion 360 again

Now does this uncheck the new track pad experience?

Tried this 5 times but the "native trackpad" stays checked and mouse zoom still not working 😞

I have to press CMD and than scroll like crazy before it starts to zoom.

Very slow working like this, hope there will be a fix quickly

@b5.belgie Apologies once again. WE are working to address the original track pad issue as a priority. Meanwhile cannot uncheck the Native track pad is having us stumped but we are very closely looking at it. Can you please try one more thing for me. We believe the unchecking not sticking could be a timing thing. So slight variation to the the one I suggested above:

1. Launch Fusion 360
2. Ensure that the refresh in the data panel is not spinning (Wait for it to stop if it is)
3. Go to preference -> Uncheck the native trackpad option
4.  Apply
5. To the restart select NOT NOW
5.  Ok
6. Open a simple design
7. Close the design
8. Make sure that the data panel refresh is not spinning

9. Manually close Fusion 360
10.Start Fusion 360 again

Now does it remain unchecked? If this is not working, I can get on a call with you based on your time zone (or have another person in my team get on a call with you and try to get you back to the previous state while we solve the actual track pad issue).

Apologies and thank you for your patience.

Its working again 🙂 thank you for the support !!

I did the following;

Open preference and check the HighDPIScaling (windows only) box

Apply and oke

Restart Fusion

Open preference again and uncheck the HighDPIScaling (windows only) box

Than restart again

Now the Native trackpad box in unchecked and zoom is working as before

Hope this is useful for others and happy designing.

Greetings from Belgium.
