Export DXF file results enlarged - Student Edition

I have the student version of fusion 360. When I export a drawing (not extruded) as a DXF it enlarges in size when opened in applications. Opening it on a Lone Star plasma table, software is called SheetCam (for setup/G code) and SpitFire to run the machine. I also had a problem when trying to use the DXF feature on a Hurco VM20i CNC knee mill. For the hurco I just redrew the drawing in solidworks and it was fine. As far as the plasma cutter I imported the DXF into Corel draw and that fixed the sizing. Is there something I'm missing? Just went through all the settings. Or is this because its a student edition.

Does it matter if I go to export as DXF or save as DXF?

3D modeling and saving as .stl for 3d printing works fine.

Are the units the same in fusion as where you are sending it, like in to in or mm to mm?

It certainly sounds like you have a units issue. If you can attach your files as an F3Z (Fusion Archive) we can take a look at it for you.
