Fusion jumping to active window when processing

When Fusion is taking a while to process something - i.e. large designs with many components and links - I tend to do other work in the mean time, yet Fusion keeps jumping to the active window and pushing other software behind it.

OS: Windows 10

Example: I do something and Fusion does it's now famous thing of contemplating the universe for a minute or two, so I jump over to my web browser in the meantime. During the processing time Fusion keeps jumping to the main active window and pushes the web browser behind it. Fusion is still thinking and non-interactive yet jumping to the active window on it's own. It is dragging my work flow into the drain.

I need this to stop. Whether something inside Fusion that removes the jump to active window or something in it's preferences within Windows.

I understand this is not a big issue, yet as I have used Fusion for a few years now it has become slower and is now processing simple things for way too long. Now with this active window problem it has moved into the nuisance software during long processing times.

My computer is not slow, not bogged down, I don't have many other intensive programs running, yet Fusion has become slower as time goes on. Restarting, clearing cache, and every other option to do with my system has been tried. I may be missing something but I have come to conclusion that the processing time issue/active window forcing is on Fusions end.

Please help.

Thanks!

Thanks I'll look into it.

Regarding what you say about Fusion becoming slower over time. I'm curious, have your designs become larger and more complex in this same time frame?

Thanks Phil.

My designs have become more intricate on the whole in regards to linked components but not necessarily larger.

If I go back to an older design from a year or two ago I find it very slow to respond and do anything. Creating a new object takes a long time - as during every step of that creation Fusion seems to hold and process longer than usual.

If you could show some of this in an Autodesk Screencast video I'm glad to check it out.

@adwarbinek would you please confirm the version of Fusion you have installed? (Help > About)

You can highlight and copy/paste the version here directly from the About box.

I have the same premisse as @adwarbinek. While Fusion is processing something larger, I tend to switch to another software.

I couldn't find yet a way to prevent this. My laptop is not powerful and I'm OK with that, I can wait the operations time. In the Screencast below I Paste New an inefficient design I knew I would have this window shifting.

Fusion 360 2.0.8412
