Fusion 360 sucks flat out no other way around in.  Takes several minutes to load.  Crashes frequently, takes forever to preform tasks, won't preform tasks. It is a pile

Did you ever try to deploy Fusion 360 in a classroom. Tried the lab install, the -globallinstall option.

Install works until the end but we are unable to launch the softaware. It apprears multiple times in taskmanager but never launches... We have to give admin rights to students to install it ! Such a shame for a 2022 software ! Autocad install is so simple, why not use the same method ??

Tell me about it. With my student account, I am not able to even speak to technical support. Everytime I download Fusion 360, it stores itself in my computer to which I cannot access it and all I get is error messages over and over again with a remedy that does not apply to my iMac (it tells me to delete files that do not exist from locations that do not exist on my computer). So, I cannot even use the software without an error message popping up every 5 seconds, forcing me to delete everything and restart my computer. I have seriously been trying to learn how to this software, but I am not sure I want any career that involves dealing with these kinds of user usability issues. It sucks. Out of the past 10 hours I have been trying to learn foundational skills, 1 hour was learning, but it was divided into 20 five minute intervals separated by error message issues.

What a brilliant introduction to a new community! Hopefully your attitude improves as you mature during your studies.  Otherwise I am afraid there's isn't going to be much of a career 😉

If you want to open a new thread and describe your problems in more reasonable language and perhaps with a bit more of positive attitude, perhaps we can help you through these struggles.

Yep! It certainly is a bit ridiculous that Fusion presents itself as a professional grade software when it has been developed like a throwaway software project. For sure, it's cheaper and much more lightweight than real software like Solidworks and the like but it really is a stretch to call the chosen rollout method, cloud-crasher and even the profit model anywhere close to professional grade software.

I really only use it to teach and to get students enthused about what they can do so they don't think that Sketchup is the only way. It has some great offerings and does a lot of really simple tasks well but if I had my choice I would do away entirely with this cloud based model and teach with whichever package doesn't have it just for stability and repeatability reasons.

As a new user coming to it. Horrible program. Lacks basic tools such as measurement options. And crashed 5 minutes into a project. Not promising.

So is this upcoming October going to be the 3rd year in a row I'm not able to login after renewing my subscription?

Am I going to find tomorrow I can't open a project I worked on today or will that issue not pop up until next week?

Or how about toolpaths like these I've been reporting for years?

His attitude is not the problem, but with fusion360. There's not going to be much of a career😉 with fusion360.
Furthermore, it makes no sense to open a new thread on this topic, it will probably be deleted anyway.

I would not be so sure about that. Fusion 360 has pretty strong adoption rates and I know a number of people who run their businesses using Fusion 360.

CAD software is used in many industries and companies, both large and small, so as development continues I am sure there will be opportunities.
In the end, it doesn't really matter what CAD system you use as long as general concepts are understood, they are all fairly easy to learn.

In my not insignificant life experience, attitudes are not limited to specific software.

To my knowledge - I've been on this forum almost daily since 2014 - no post or thread has ever been purposely deleted. I recall only two thread that have been locked from further comments and that was completely warranted.

I am fully aware of what has been posted to this thread.

I have made 19,000+ posts on this form and provided over 2,000 solutions. That means that I also had the opportunity to participate in several thousand other threads.

You are absolutely right that it doesn't matter which Cad system you use, but the cracks in Fusion360 are more and more apparent as you read the posts on this topic. Take as an example how many people suffer from crashes with Fusion360. In the beginning of Fusion360, I think this was much less (hardly) the case. Furthermore, several separate software packages from AutoDesk (or software purchased by AutoCrap) have been merged into Fusion360. A good example is Eagle. Companies that have a permanent license for Eagle have to switch to Fusion360 for a new license, and then you have an option in fusion360 to link step files (anycad) to fusion360 drawings which does not work at all, links are regularly broken (very annoying) . So there are also added functions that do not even work properly. Fusion360 also gets more functions for which you have to buy credits and the license rent sometimes goes up again, but once you have chosen a Cad system as a company, you are less likely to switch to another package. AutoCrap's motto is like a drug dealer: First make people addicted to the possibilities, take over competition, then gradually raise prices (No possibility to buy a permanent license, but hey we have to keep the shareholders happy).

The number of messages posted does not say anything about the content and whether the solutions are useful.

If my posts would not have been useful, then it is unlikely that 2000+ users would have marked them as the solutions to their problems ?

What I was trying to say is that due to my contribution on this forum, you know, trying to help other users with problems they are encountering, I have had the chance to get a lot more varied feedback than just the negativity in this thread. If you look for negative stuff, you'll always find it, but there is a lot of positive stuff here on the forum if you look for it.

My guess is you are simply more interested in negative stuff, because you clearly have an axe to grind with Autodesk!

You do post posts in which you say to people, for example, if they have lost work for a few hours that it is their own fault (you should have saved more often), while Fusion360 just suffers from unexpected crashes due to bugs. This is indeed a solution, but not a good solution. Furthermore, I'm not talking about the posts you make about how a user should draw a certain shape (i.e. how you explain to others how to work with Fusion360). These posts are indeed helpful. I still have a subscription to Fusion360, so why should I only be interested in the negative stuff. But I also see that Autodesk threads their customers badly (bugs that are not fixed in Fusion360, Old perpetual licenses (Autocad) that suddenly can no longer be activated). My guess is that you are being paid (sponsored) by Autodesk to crush all the negative posts by saying that they are only a small group that has problems.

Well it was today I found myself unable to open a design not yesterday. To be fair though, I am on the Ventura developer beta. Ended up being able to open it after force quitting and opening up Keychain Access to log back in for about an hour.

@TrippyLighting do you find it strange I post here on pretty much a daily basis and have yet to post even a single issue to any Adobe or Zbrush forum? Any ideas why that may be?

Anyways back to work. And by work I mean watching the beach ball of death spin every 10 seconds.

Nope, I've followed many of your posts and frankly I find nothing strange about that 😉
