I just ran over your headline whilst searching for solutions for the uncountable Fusion 360 bugs. I really wonder how companies can run a business with this software.
Coming from NX and Solidworks using Fusion 360 is a real pain and I see a lot of risks to create really expensive mistakes. Especially the drawing-section with all its missing features and unassociated help-sketches drives me crazy. Now I am running into new issues with undeletable files...
Honestly Autodesk, how can you sell this to anyone but hobbyists? This is by far the worst CAD system I have ever seen!
Sorry for highjacking this thread, I just loved the headline. Every day working with Fusion 360 is a day full of anger and headache.
EDIT... only complaining is kind of stupid. So here the issues I had to fight just today:
- Drawing dimension loose their association for no reason (sometimes in the moment you place it).
- Help-sketches in drawings are not associated to the drawing view. This is a very high risk for drawing mistakes, especiall in a multi user enviroment. And it really reminds me of MS Paint...
- You cannot measure dimensions greater than 180° in drawings. This is a huge problem for supplier communication sometimes.
- It is not possible to change the reference for drawings. This creates a lot of extra work when working with external supplier updates coming as STEP or IGES files. Something like SWX 3D-interconnect would be nice.
- No arc length dimensions in drawings... is this a 21st century software???
- It is impossible to delete a unwanted file if it has references. Even if these references are directing to an old version of another file. A warning would be okay and senseful, but the user should be allowed to decide by himself to delete or not to delete.
And this is just the fun I had today! I hope this post can save others from running into the Fusion-trap. You get what you pay for!
