Most recent version of Fusion 360 won't start on macOS Catalina

I have two computers running MacOS Cataline, a desktop and a laptop. On the desktop Fusion 360 won't start. No startup screen...nothing. It is like I didn't click on the app icon. The activity indicator does show for a couple seconds. That's all.  

 

I have reinstalled several times, cleaning out all the old files before reinstalling. When I do this, it starts normally one or two times (not sure which) then won't start again. The laptop works normally but the screen small so it is agonizing to use 360.

 

I'm not sure about the product version as it won't start. But I do know I reinstalled on Thursday.

 

Any ideas?

Hello

 

Thanks for posting. CLICK HERE  to go to the quite similar post. The user didnt completely fixed it but shorted some progress.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply to me. The solution you presented is indeed the cause of my problem. On the laptop, the Fusion 360 icon is in my user applications folder. On my desktop it is in both. And it starts up find on my desktop when I use the user folder app icon. 

 

Again, thank you! Now I can work on the big screen.
