Fusion 360 Keeps Crashing when Creating a sphere

Hi,

I'm using macOS 10.13.6. I've always been able to use the sphere tool to create spheres. Now, whenever I pull out the tool and click the plane, fusion crashes and it asks me if I want to send a report to Autodesk. I've tried it 5 times. I've also restarted my computer and installed all updates.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Sorry to hear this. Some questions come to mind:

  1. Is this in a new file?
  2. An existing one?
  3. Is it file-specific?
  4. Is it only the sphere?

Additionally, as you mentioned this worked fine before so has anything changed on your system recently? Software updates (aside from Fusion) or hardware changes?

Lastly, if you get a chance, can you send us your log files? These can be zipped up by going to the Help (?) menu > Support and Diagnostics > Diagnostic log files.

You and me both 🙂

Its reproduce able. Simply draw a sphere and it crashes. New file, existing file doesn't mater.

we might need more information.  Have you sent in crash reports with your email filled in?  What OS are you running Fusion on?  I'm on Mac Catalina, and it seems to work OK for me:

I looked in our crash reporting system, and I don't see any crash reports from either @shelliFEMGC or @mailmartinviljoen  in the past 30 days.  When this happens with Sphere, do you get a crash report dialog?  If so, could you fill in your email and submit the report?  This could help us figure out why you see this problem, and I don't.  Thanks.
