Drag and drop not working anymore for uploading files

As the title says. It just stopped working for me. I can only upload files by going via the select file menu but draging a file into the drag and drop area does not upload it.

What environment exactly are you trying to drag and drop? A360?

I do not find any issues with Drag and Drop feature in the Upload dialog box.  It works as expected.

What file type are you attempting to drag and drop?

What license type do you have?

Both a free license for hobby work and a commercial license for work.
I tried uploading a step file. Uploading that file works absolutely fine
via the browse button. Just the drag and drop action is not working.

Can you Attach an example file here that does not work (create a simple dummy file if your actual file is proprietary).

Again, the file itself makes zero difference. The action of hovering a file over the field is not detected any more for me in Fusion. The file upload works perfectly and the exact same files that I tried to upload have worked before via drag and drop. This is a UI code issue, it has nothing to do with the file.

This is not something that can be fixed by a community member or by doing something differently. Something with my system setup seems to cause this bug.

This is how it looks if I drag a file over to the field (had to make a photo, screenshots on windows dont capture cursors)

I know it's been a long time since this was posted, but I didn't see an accepted answer. I recently completed Kevin Kennedy's class and I had the same problem during one of the projects. It turns out that I just needed to make sure that the timeline marker was at the end of the timeline when I was trying to reorganize the components in the Browser. He explains that is due to "Fusion 360 been a parametric modeler, which means that the order in which features are created matters, as they reference existing features in the timeline.

I have found that if the files which you desire to upload via drag and drop is within a .ZIP folder then you cannot upload them, but if you were to extract the contents from the .ZIP folder and upload them again then it should work.

No this was not a zip file, I was trying to upload a step file.

This is still a problem btw. it never resolved, I always have to choose files via the file dialog.

I have had the EXACT same problem for 2 years, it worked before that.
i have Re-installed, Repaired Fusion, several times, to no differeance.
as you say, the file type does not matter.
i havent tried to re-install windows yet.

it does work for my collage that have the exact same PC components.

The problem only went away after I reinstalled Windows with my upgrade to Windows 11 unfortunately
