Document stuck uploading

I have a document that is "still uploading" per the screenshot below. When I check the queue and look online, I don't see the document anywhere. I have also check on other computers and shows the same thing from within the app.

Issue is that it's counting against my editable documents? Any idea how to clear this?

I tried this step and I did not resolve my issue.  In my case, I suspect that the files that are being a problem are part of a system crash I had the other week working online with a at best sketchy internet connection.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@steve_kampen Can you play grab a quick visual of what you are seeing or where the files are showing as stuck? the logs does not show any evidence of files left over on machine to be uploaded to the cloud. Also, do you have the personal license?

Accepted solution

@steve_kampen The solution called out should absolutely work. Rather than rename can you delete the active document file? It's also important that you go into the off-line mode.

  • Launch Fusion
  • Go Offline (manual switch)
  • Close Fusion
  • Rename the %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Neutron Platform\Options\<User ID>\login__ActiveDocuments file (OR) \AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Neutron Platform\Options\<user ID> login__ActiveDocuments file
  • Launch Fusion
  • Editable Document list should be empty
  • Mark a single document editable
  • Go Online

@charlesredgar

1. Open Windows explorer
2. Type in %APPDATA%\
3. Then navigate to - Autodesk\Neutron Platform\Options\<User ID>\login__ActiveDocuments file (OR) \AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Neutron Platform\Options\<user ID> login__ActiveDocuments file

How do you change the editable property of a document online if you have a personal, non-commercial license?

@don_etc When you say online I assume you want to do it outside of the Fusion desktop application. If so you can login to Fusion team - https://login.autodesk360.com/login and make documents read only/editable.

I'm having this issue as well. I'm not comfortable changing file names (I'm a very occasional user), so what do I change the file name to, and how do I change it? I just get a list of possible programs to open it. I'm afraid I'm going to lose files or otherwise screw something up.

@ranmck @Please follow this

Pleae let the customer know this:

1. Update to the latest version 2.0.20508 or newer
2. Then run this workflow from the article - https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Files-stuck-in-Edi...
Both of these will ensure that the current problem is fixed and the new version will ensure that customers do not hit the problem again.

I did this, now my designs are gone. How do I get them back?

@ranmck All this does is makes your editable designs back to zero. Go to the project and make the design editable again.

That doesn't seem to show an option to make read-only or editable. When I right-click in the project list, I get a menu that shows:

don_etc_0-1731204614638.png

If I navigate to the document examine the properties I can't seem to find a read-only vs editable option.
