Simulated Machine with 4th axis Orientation Incorrect

Ive been having a frustrating issue lately with the manufacturing workspace when using machine simulation with a 4th axis. Regardless of how my WCS is selected in the setup, the simulated machine axis are not in line with the direction they should be. Ive attached a few images from a test setup I threw together trying to troubleshoot to hopefully get across the issue I am hoping to solve. The X axis is currently pointing away from the rotary, And Y axis pointing away from the machine column when in reality, this should be the inverse. In the last image, I turned on the origin, which is in the orientation I would expect, but the WCS always has the X axis pointed away from the X axis regardless of which point I select or how I decide the axis should be flipped. Depending on how the WCS is selected, the entire machine flips to match(I believe this is correct behavior, but I thought id mention it). I suspect this may have something to do with how the A axis kinematics are set in the machine configuration and how the rotary axis position on the table is determined, but Ive come up dry trying different settings in the machine configuration so far. The machine is likely setup incorrectly in machine builder, the axes direction of the Machine model must be the same as the Files View cube axes.

If you Export your machine from the Machine library:

Or attach that test file with the machine we can take a look to see if it is configured correctly

Thanks for the quick reply! The view cube of the machine model looks to match what I would expect. Heres a screenshot of how that shows up with the origin visible

Ive attached the machine config file.

Thanks!

Hmmm, everything looks correct and all the machine movements in machine builder are correct but its got XY flipped when you select it in a setup.

I had something similar happen the other day on one of my machines after editing the config and haven't been able to fix it. I'm wondering if there is some sort of bug in the machine config/builder.

@seth.madore  can you ping the relevant people to maybe take a look?

@a.laasW8M6T I think this is a known bug that we're working on, trying to track down the discussions internally. Will post back to confirm..

I think this is related to CAM-48298 which is slated for a hotfix. That said, the machine definition will need to be recreated once the fix comes out, as the bug won't be fixed in that machine configuration

Thanks for the reply! Are you aware of any workarounds that may get machine simulation working in the mean time?
