Groove finish pass to center instead of full profile.

I am trying to rough out the grove shown +.005 material on all sides. then come back and take a skim pass from the sides pushing burrs to the center instead of a single pass. How can this be done?

Us the "Groove Finishing" toolpath, with it set to "Both Ways" and "Avoid Upward Cutting"

Thank you sir, I never could find that check box.

What about leaving .005 stock on the sides (Z Axis)? Every time I attempt to add remaining stock it insists on taking a huge bite final pass.

Have you tried the Groove Roughing toolpath?
The "Groove" toolpath is an outdated toolpath that has been superseded by the separate (and greatly improved) Rough and Finish toolpaths
