not fully cutting ears

Hello

I have attached a model, and a screen cast. The screen cast shows a simulation of a "dog bone" shaped channel being cut. The straight walls of the channel are cutting just fine , but the ears of the dog bone are not fully cutting. We measured the issue on our CMM, and you can see the weird behavior in the simulation.

We are using a long 3mm endmill, and the width of the ears is .125 The endmill should cut the ears with no problem, but it is not. I have been playing with the passes, and linking parameters to no avail.  ??

Thanks for having a look.

For one thing you have .004" stock to leave on your Passes tab:

The other thing that is screwing it up is your Compensation Radius Allowance (near the top of the Passes tab) which limits the internal corners in case of a tool that measures larger via G41/42 cutter comp. Change that to zero and the toolpath works out fine. For just about anyone using stock tools and not regrinds this can be set to zero with no concerns as far as I know.

Also you've selected a whole chunk of chains, and this would be much better as two open contour chains instead. Here's a screencast showing how to select open contours:
