Hi Everyone,
I wanted to thank you all for your Forum Participation. I wanted to inform you about the last update that just happened earlier this week.
Snooze
You can snooze an update for up to 14 days, meaning you can keep your focus on the task at hand. This also means there is no need to take Fusion 360 offline to avoid the update.
Signal Integrity Extension powered by Ansys now available with Flex
The Si Extention allows you to analyze the critical traces carrying high-speed signals on your circuit board, providing visual insight into specified impedance and getting details such as resistance, time delay, length, and much more during your routing process.
We have made it easier to access this functionality, with the option to add this extension using token flex; remember that we offer a 14-day trial.
Support for Arrow Keys when pasting
From now you will notice that we support the arrow keys when pasting assets in any of the Fusion 360 electronics workspaces. This will help you fine-tune your placement since each arrow pressed equals one grid point.
Pin Breakout is now a Command Dialog
Editable layer sets for 3D PCB silkscreen
Previously we only supported the conventional Name and Place layers for the top and bottom silkscreen. In this update, you will notice that the display command has a section for the Editable Layers Sets in the PCB editor. You can now select which layers will appear as silkscreen in your 3D models.
New Image Configuration Option in CAM with Preview
The CAM Processor has now been enhanced, enabling you to efficiently create better manufacturing documentation images of your board in a more practical format. You will notice that you can select how many images you want per page.
New DRC Engine
The new DRC engine retains the same interface. Still, it supports faster rule scoping, meaning you experience a smoother working environment with the live DRC enabled, reducing the short-stutter time gaps when moving assets.
Again, thank you for your forum participation—special thanks to those who registered and participated in the Fusion 360 Insider Program.
Thank you,
Ed
