Board size - which one?

I have a board anchored at (0 0) and an upper right corner of 100/35 (mm).

The board size is given as 101.1 * 36.1. Which one is the final size of the board?

Hello @dieter.menne,

Thanks for visiting our forums. Do you have any component outlines that stretch beyond the limits of the board? The board information in the inspector looks at the full extents of copper. The outline on the dimension layer isn't what is strictly used to calculate the board size, it's actually the furthest copper feature that determines what shows up in the Board Information window.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

Not that I am aware of, and an ERC check did not show any components close to the border. There was another query on the same subject recently, and an expected 0.1 mm difference was mentioned.

The critical question is: which measure is used when you derive a case from the board? Will it be the correct size? 1 mm difference can make any supporting borders unusable.

Hi @dieter.menne,

I hope you're doing well. Neither is used, the board outline on layer 20 is used to derive any geometry based on the board.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
