DRC Issue/Bug - Unwanted Airwire

There are two option in component connection, "Any" or "All".

All I know it's for setting if same name pins are connected or individual in the actual part.

If I remember correctly, the "Any" is for, they are already shorted in actual part, so in PCB design I've to route only one pin, and all good. No airwire, DRC clear.

That's how I created my components. In "Eagle" that's how I designed my projects.

But, (after the easy and fast "Eagle" is no more) now I found, it's not working in Fusion at all...!!!

I thought, maybe I didn't set those correctly, so edited two Packages with "All" and "Any".

    

And yes, they both are acting same, both are now showing airwire when only one pin is routed.

Don't know if this issue was from begining or not, but this is a genuine issue/bug. If in both cases the airwire issue detects, in some cases we have to re-check with actual parts...!!!

I think this the whole point of "All" and "Any" option...!

Is it the fact that you are connecting an "any pin" to another set of "any pins" (should actually work); what happens if you connect an "any pin" to a resistor? Do you still get airwire?

Yes, here is an example with two standalone full circuits.

It's very useful, when you connecting a Type-C connector, their same name pins are not connected in actual part, Airwire make sure to connect them in design.

But in many momentary switches/ICs/Coin cell holder (only metal), for make the board and traces shorter, only one pin route is enough..

That's why the "All" and "Any" option are available.
