Hello,

Would any one know how to over lap and object such that it takes the form on that object below it? I have attached two images of what I would like to achieve.
Fig 1 is what I can do now however I would like something like Fig 2 (all in one object).

Many Thanks,
Steve

Hi @z3535066

When modeling with Fusion, you can change the Operation to New Body or Component. Or after the bodies are create use the align or Move tool to overlap the components. For Components, you can move them into position by using the Joint tool.

Does this answer your question?

Hello Dan,

I appreciate your response. I have previously attempted the suggested solution, but unfortunately, it does not achieve the desired outcome. In an effort to provide clarity to my intention, I have included Fig A and Fig B as visual references.

To elaborate, my goal is to extrude the green element over the blue one in a manner that allows it to follow the contours of the objects, while maintaining a consistent height throughout.

I am hopeful that you could provide assistance in resolving this matter.

Thank you for your time and I hope you could help me in this issues.

Best regards,

Steve

Hi @z3535066
Have you looked at using the Combined tool under the Modify panel?

This tools allows you to model the bodies separately and then use the Combine tool to remove area from the green part. There is an option to keep the tool bodies, if unchecked, the tool bodies with be consumed by the feature and be removed.

if you want a profile to follow the shape of other bodies, you could look at the Sweep or Loft tools.

I hope this helps.
