What processor to buy for Fusion rendering?.

Hi,

I am between two proecessors the 9900k and the 3900x. I know that the 3900x have 12 cores vs 8, but I don't know how it works in fusion 360 as I don't have any benchmark. Will the 3900x be a lot faster in Fusion rendering?.

I have added the CPU & GPU into the database.

I do have a plan to develop a software that can do all the tests for you, but for now you will have to do it manually! Luckily, it is very simple.
I hope you didn't forget to check the CPU speed during the render test 😉

"userbenchmark" & TESREG are different. TESREG is specific for F360 and it allows you to do all kinds of filtering and comparisons. What makes it really unique, is the ability compare Price to Performance and this is something you won't see anywhere 😊

Hi, I just recive the 3960x 24 core 48 threads, I will test it when I recive the other components.

Here is a more complex render scene if you would like to test it:

I have a new iMac Pro on order with 18-Core, 2.3GHz Intel Xeon W, Turbo Boost up to 4.3GHz, 42.75MB cache.  I will try to give this a run once I get it.

@jasonhomrighaus Geez, what is that machine for?

I'm interested in the results and where the balance lies with Cores - Clock Speed.

For work a combination of Fusion360 design and rendering work and marketing/video work in adobe suite.

is replacement for my Macpro 5.1. Been limping along with MacBook Pro for a year or so.

I'll be interested to see how Fusion handles it - The turbo isn't terrible but the processor is definitely overkill for almost all parts of Fusion.

If you're rendering out in Adobe loads then imagine it will do quite well.

Cinebench is always a fun one to run with High core processors.

What about orbit and zooming for large assemblys, is it multithreaded?

Hey @Joshua-Braun_ZM, Sorry about that.
I'm not sure what was wrong with its name, but I re-added it and now you will be able to find it 👍

So I ran your engine test file and if finished in 1:28.  I entered in the table

I will try again when I get the FPS tool loaded. The intel widget for MAcOS is Showing 404 errors on all the links.

In the instructions on that Site with the table it says to down load a widget tool to allow you to see your Ghz speed.
