If you are thinking about attributes that "automatically" read the model properties then the answer is NO.

Where is this "contextual environment" now?

Where in the part properties we can find all those lines to fill, which attributes are as a default in title block?

Hi,

These are the automatically generated entries.

Everything else you can create individually!

Individually adding means manual adding? Not part attributes from 3D model?

Hi there I'm a new user and am trying to figure out revisions and title blocks. This thread and info published by Autodesk seem to suggest that previously the titleblock "Attibutes" could be edited in a contextual environment, but that now seems to be gone. I can see the stock title block autopopulating some info but I can't figure out how to edit it so I don't have to type manually the information into every sheet. When I right click and select edit title block the New Title Block Dialog opens and I can't do anything to the text size/attributes/etc.

You seem to be asking two different questions. One, to edit an attribute already in the title block and Two, how to create an attribute in a title block.  I hope the video will help.  I can into more depth is you need.

Thank you so much. I got deterred by the "New Titleblock" heading and was in fact 1-click away from the Editing environment. That works fine now.

So more accurately for the 2nd part of my question. Where do I go to edit those attributes that are supposed to automatically import from the model. If I click on them in the Titleblock Edit environment it converts them to Custom attributes. I can't find in the model where to edit these attributes.

The video will explain how to add a Model Attribute and then Fill it in.

By the way, even though this Forum post has an Accept Solution status, please select it for my solution if it meets your requirements.  This will flag it for others looking for a similar solution.

@jhackney1972 would there be any reason as to why it doesn't work as easy as the video??
I have tried multiple times to either change the existing attribute or add a new attribute to auto fill the part name and part number, but no luck.
My BOM has the part number and name auto filled, but for the life of me I cannot get the title block to update accordingly.

My guess is that your are forgetting to Save your model so the attribute is carried into the 2D Drawing.  What I suggest you do is tell me what Attribute you want to show up in your Title Block and attach your model, not drawing, and I will create the attribute you want in my drawing to show the process.  Remember to tell me what specific attribute you want.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

I wish it was as easy as just saving, but at last I have saved and relinked the CAD model several times to no prevail.

I am just trying to change the stock title block attributes of Title_1 to Model_Part_Name and change the DWG_No to Model_Part_Number. Easy enough, so I thought.

I created a new title block in a new template, using the attributes you wanted, save it and created a new drawing of one of my models.  It works just fine.  Created a drawing, using the same template, of your model and it will not populate the fields.  I saved your model out as a new file and it still will not populate the title block although all my models work perfectly with the new template.  I have nothing to offer except to refer it to the Autodesk 2D Drawing guru.

@ClintBrown3D , can you explain this one for us?  This is an old thread but the model Access Ladder V10.f3d, shown in the previous post is the problem.  Thanks

Hi @jhackney1972

The team is working on this issue. While we wait for a fix, it might be best to re-insert those attributes in the title block ans re-save the template. Hopefully we'll have a fix soon.

I have been wrestling with this for the past couple days as well. Hopefully you are able to figure out what is going on. I tried making a new title block and template but it still won't pull information from the model. However the information gets pulled for tables. I also went back and checked an old drawing to see if it was doing the same thing. Answer is yes. When I opened the drawing the material and part names were there but the moment I refreshed the properties in the title block they disappeared. Looks like it will have to be manual entry for now. I know this isn't a solution but wanted to chime in so people don't think it is only them.

John,

Thank you for the information on properties and their operations. Having driven Inventor for 20 years, I figured attributes and properties were similar, but I was not clear on the auto-population from model to title block.

Thanks for the help
