Tiltwall panel: how add surface features like bricks, columns, etc to the fascia

Newbie:  

I have this panel component but the 'ground' option does not come up (my problem?)

Trying to attach steps, header and columns to the panel for tiltup concrete cute-ification.

I tried, putting them all as one body but that seems dense.

Now they're all components, but the joint for the columns, which I want 18" off the side, won't seem to work.  Tried

It just seems like  I need someone to tell me the best practice for hanging stuff off the wall.

is everything in it's own component?  in your pics the fascia base isn't. probably best to attach your model (export it as an .f3d and attach to a post)

I though if you built stuff under the top level it was automatically a component. Duh...nope.
