Sweep or not to sweep... that is the question?

I could use some help here. It seemed a simple task but I am struggling with this. I have two circle sketch profiles of different diameters and I assumed I should use the sweep tool. I first tried pipe but it only seemed to loft one profile and not use two. So I figured sweep. I have used sweep successfully on helixes but I seem not to get this one. Might be an age thing 🙂
