Sphere mesh ?

Is it possible to create a sphere mesh, not a solid as I want to edit the mesh before making it solid or is there a way to create a sketch on a curved surface?

It might help to describe what you are trying to accomplish here.  The only way to create a mesh in Fusion is by meshing a solid - create a solid sphere, and use the BRep to Mesh command to convert it to a mesh.

What sort of edits do you want to make to this mesh?  And you indicate that you want to take the edited mesh and turn it BACK into a solid (presumably using the Mesh to BRep command).  This will produce a very heavy representation, so comes with a cost.

That's why it would help to understand what you are trying to achieve.  There may be better ways to do it, either in the Solid workspace directly, or the T-Splines (Form) workspace.

Thank you, I want to create a model for a 3D printed Wind Turbine project I'm working on, where I want to create spherical head with vents and blades inside the sphere.

Ideally I I'm looking for a way to convert the solid into a mesh by specifying the parameters that will govern how smooth the sphere will be, I don't need it to be perfect.

Where are the mesh options?

I'm still very much a newb.

you have to turn on mesh in the "Preview" part of the preferences dialog.  Then, you have to create a Mesh feature, and that gets you into the mesh workspace.  See the screencast below

Thank you, I've created a spherical mesh, I can select the vertices, but I can't move them...so much to learn!

yes, I think that's true.  You cannot move individual mesh triangles in Fusion.  Fusion is not a general-purpose mesh editor.  It might be worth exploring the Form environment - you can move faces/edges/vertices in that environment.  Those movements are not parametric (meaning there is no recipe that you can edit - it's all direct modeling), but you can deform the shape, and it will be converted into a solid on exit:

Model in solid or T-spline (shape dependent),

Save body as STL - (for printing) has a resolution selection - during the file creation,

Fusion mesh handling is a deep rabbit hole.

Might help.....
