Some simple features request

Hey

1) A box from center. PLEASE!!!?😀

see the video!

2)Why these arent active by the default!?  Why did you hide all these filters behind a sub-menu?!!!! Cant even put it somewhere on the toolbar or assign a hotkey to enalbe/disable all:-(

Screenshot_8.png

3) The same goes for these too, is there a hotkey to "check/uuncheck all" filters at once?! No? then why are they also hidden so deep so that you have to spend 5 seconds just to enable them all, this happens all the time, and is very annoying and you dont even know how.:-(

Please!

In your three feature request, I will acknowledge that number 1 is not available, Fusion 360 will only create a primitive box by one corner not the center.  The other two are already in the application.  When you start Fusion 360 all the Selection Filters are selected.  If you look at your screen capture, on you request number 2, you have the icon for only Faces checked causing the list to be restricted.  Touch this icon again and the list will be completely checked.

Hi,
I want to know are you desiring a tool like the center point rectangle does while sketching?

Not a separate tool no, only an extra ability like, while holding CTRL(or any other)button just like in 3ds max. This will save on the timeline mirror, join, offset and move entries a lot, and should be on every primitive, not just the box. I really dont understand how can you avoid using those extra operations on symmetrical bodies on creation. You cant be precise on positioning and sizing with the default box too, so here at least a symmetrical box will show you that information. Current limitations of a box primitive, make this situation even worse. Oh and another thing, should be easy too ,is to reposition the default pivot which is always on the wrong side, to the center of a body when moving stuff around.😉

You certainly can get your point across without the use of such vulgar language!

As you can see the buttons unchecked but the filters are still not checked. What will you suggest now to enable them all?

May I humbly suggest completely avoiding the first four primitives? They're completely useless in a parametric environment.

Meh. There is no such thing as vulgar language. I submit the following:

Sh*t

Poop

Both of those words are four letters. Both of them refer to the same smelly stuff. Yet one of them is considered a bad word, while the other is considered kid friendly. Why?

No good reason. That's why. It's completely arbitrary and dumb for somebody to be offended by one of them and not by the other. The contextual intent of what somebody says to you might be offensive, but the words themselves are not. They're just collections of letters that we've agreed upon. Nothing more.

They are useful to me, but quite cumbersome to use too.

You only think they're useful because you don't know all they ways in which they will cause you heartache.

Yeah this suxx, especially when something like that is a very easy fix.Its the core of the whole thing, how can you be so neglectable about it. I genuinely dont understand that.

I feel your pain, but the solution is, as I said above, not to use the first four primitives. Create your shapes parametrically just like you would for any other shape, with sketches and extrudes/revolves/sweeps/etc. Just forget those four primitives even exist, and your Fusion modeling life will be much better.

sketches are more performance intensive as you probably know it already, so Im trying to avoid them whenever possible

@I_Megaman_i - this is not the conclusion you should come to.  Large sketches are not performant, but that does not mean that you should avoid sketches as a rule.  You should avoid large sketches as a rule, but trying to work without sketches will create many more problems than it solves.  As with many things in life - moderation is the answer.

Okay, don't believe us. That's your right. You now know that the primitives are a pain in the rear end. But hey, don't let knowledge effect your determination.
