Why is it so difficult to get a file from Fusion to Slicer? Or am I missing something. They each have there preferred file types and they don't match.

I presume you're needing an STL file? If so, right click the component or body you want to export from the browser, and select save as STL.

I found my answer but this is the recent addition to fusion that slices 3D objects and generates 2d folding shapes or interlocking playes
