First a big thank you to the updated Fusion 360!
I've verified that previous overconstraint sketch bugs I've come across before are fixed. Yay!
This is awesome, now can move sketches into a component even after a body is made from it!
The driven dimensions are great to show dimensions. If choose a driven dimension for a dimension that does not have a driving dimension, then dragging the end points around to change the dimension updates the driven dimension in real time, which is cool.
The constraint cursor icons are great, especially to let one know when in constraint application mode, which was an issue before in accidentally applying constraints and what not.
A nice optional feature to have constrained line segments change color. Should be very helpful. I've noticed the color change is not for a fully constrained line segment, but something that's probably more useful. Specifically, it looks like can think of a line segment as lying on a rail/ray that is infinitely long in both directions. The line segment that lies on the rail, will change to constrained color when its rail is fully constrained, meaning the infinite rail is fixed in orientation/angle, and also laterally (cannot move side to side). So if a line segment changes to constrained color, it may still be able that its two endpoints can slide along its fully constrained rail, if more info is not given to prevent that.
And all kinds of cool other things.
A few little flukes I noticed are that in the regular Light Room environment, the constrained line segment color is black, again being the same as the dimension lines, which can detract from the mind being able to easily process the sketch geometry. Yet when go to my fallback to differentiate these different types of lines, the Grey Room, it turns out the color for unconstrained line segments is quite similar to projected geometry -- pinkish/purplish.
Another thing I noticed is when click on a line segment from another sketch to project it into current sketch, the now projected purple line is often obfuscated by the other sketch line, not being able to see it until turn other sketch off. This can make it confusing to know/keep track of if actually projected desired lines.
A final strange little fluke is when project a point so turns purple, then change environment, say from Grey to White room, the purple point changes to just a fuzzy dark point or some other crazy color depending on environment.
But all in all a very exciting time to be using and teaching Fusion 360!
