Sketch objects wont select to mirror

Hi there. I fairly new to Fusion so I'm still learning a lot.

I have a sketch object i would like to mirror. I have inserted a dxf into an existing sketch and for some reason it is a mirror image of the way i saved it when i exported it as a dxf from a different project in Fusion.

No problem right? Edit sketch, select sketch objects to mirror, select mirror command from sketch drop down and select line to mirror with.

Only problem is, as soon as i select the mirror command, the sketch object i want to mirror grays out and i cant select it while in the mirror command.

Note: I can mirror other sketch objects within the same sketch.

That sounds like the objects you want to select are not on the sketch plane.  Some dxf can contain the slightest of depth value, to cause this.

edit the sketch, window select all, right click menu, if... there is Move to Sketch Plane in the Menu - click that, and the sketch will become 2d and functional.

If not that, would need access to the file, File > Export, and attach here.

Might help...

This was a huge help, and took me way too long to find a forum that actually addressed the same issue with solution that worked!  Huge thanks for this!!!  other forums mentioned changing sketch filters and some other things that did nothing.  I had a line on a sketch plane that was tangent to round surface and was tricky to orient the view to be tangent while facing upright rather than sideways direction, so somehow must have placed the line i drew, off of the plane, even though it appeared to be on the correct plane (had also checked this in 3d view).  Thanks!
