Hello,

Thanks for screencast

but I did not understand exactly what you are doing when project the edge, project the same edge twice (in the timeline 38s-44s)

the bottom part is bent1.jpg

Never mind that, I was trying to get a closed profile to make a flange of the same outline of the main body that's all, you can forget about the projection and sketch your own

File is attached

@SaeedHamza

I don't understand why you attached this file as an example - it does not represent a proper sheet metal part.

@TheCADWhisperer

Could you explain what isn't proper about it?

No.

I recommend that you walk out to the shop floor and attempt to fabricate the part as you have designed it or ask an experienced sheet metal person to fabricate it for you from your design.

Or just sit at your desk with a sheet of paper and attempt to fold it up as you have designed.

@TheCADWhisperer

If you can't explain why, then please don't judge it from the very beginning!

This wasn't made for fabrication, it's simply to show how to get that small part with the fillets, nothing more!

This wasn't made for fabrication,

You post a "solution" on a public forum - I will judge the design.

I am interested in more than mere "pretty pictures", I am interested in Design for Manufacturability.  Otherwise I might be using Photoshop rather than MCAD software.

The users here (especially the beginners) deserve correct solutions.  Many are beginners who do not have enough experience to judge the information they are being presented here.  They expect that they are being given the expert solution.

If I post an incorrect solution - I expect to be judged for the error.

Okay that's good, so since my solution isn't good, the beginner should at
least know why!
If you provide an explanation, maybe both me and him can learn something
new, but you didn't
We're here to help and learn after all

Right now I have to get my paid work completed.

Check back later.

@SaeedHamza Have a look at what I did, you just need to move the timeline to see it and if you have a close look at what @TheCADWhisperer did you will see there is not much differences.

A simple part like this you only need a sketch for cutting the shape out,(this is how I do it, it may not be the correct way to do it and if I am wrong I expected to be judged in a constructive way) I did it so you could unfold the cutout if you wanted to without unfolding the rest of it, or so the angle of it can be changed from 90 to 0 or 180.

Also when you make the flange if it looks like it's in the wrong spot change it's position useing what's in the drop down menu.
