Dear Sir/Madam,

Since an update one month ago, every time i am saving my work the software is getting stacked for 5-10 minutes, i tried to clear the cache but the problem is still there.

Hi @Anonymous,

From the sound of you description It is a bit tricky to guess if it could be related to the internet connection.

Does Fusion 360 actually crash with a CER?

Have you checked if the files have been uploaded successfully to A360?

It would be great if you could share the log files with us. We may find what causes the hanging there.

Here is a link to a knowledge article, how to manually collect the log files.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-manually-collect-the-log-files-for-Autodesk-Fusion-360.html

I hope this helps, keep us updated.

Thanks,

Hi Mike, thank you very much for replying me.

The Fusion is not crashed, it's "not responding" for a few minutes and than goes back to normal with the saved file on the cloud.

I can see the files in the A360.

Please find the attached log file.

Thank you for your help,

Gilad

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for sharing the log file.

I have seen that the following error apears

[WinError 5] Access is denied: c:\users\tal\appdata\local\autodesk\webdeploy\production\76be329ccfa969e6cd7c65a58d520471a18c0052

Could may change the rights for the "autodesk" folder manually and try if this has an effect on the performance?

Just make sure that "Read-only" is not checked.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Hi Mike, thank you for your suggestions...

I recheck the read only box and the problem is still there, however i find out that if i am creating a new folder and saving it over there it fix the problem.

Now, from the software update at this morning, i can't save anything, it get's stack with the auto save and the software is crashing.

I have a big and real issue with the files saving, please help me to set this up.

Thank you,

Gilad

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank your for the update. I´m glad that you found a work around.

Here are couple things we can try to fix the issue you described:

1. Could you might log out and log in?

2. Could you go into offline mode and switch back to online?

3. Can you see all your projects/designs in A360?

4. If, yes, could you try to "Clear the user cache data"

Please keep us updated and let us know if this helped?

Thanks,

@Mike.Grau

Hello Mike -

I'd also like to point out that I also have this issue since the new July 2017 update, as I wrote in my topic here: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/major-issue-july-2016-has-made-fusion-unusabl...

Which leads me to believe it might be connected to the same performance issue which has destroyed Fusion's functionality for older models we used to work on.

Hi @Anonymous,

Hi @gavriilklimov,

Thank you for the update.

I´m glad that you could see all your data in A360.

Here are a couple more things we can test:

1. Could you perhaps share the AppLog Files with us. Here is the link to get them manually.

    https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-manually-collect-the-log-files-for-Autodesk-Fusion-360.html

2. Could you might check if "Limit all effects to optimize performance" is checked?

I would like to know if you experience any change in the performance?

3. Since you have your data saved in the cloud, we might could try a clean uninstall and re-install Fusion.

Here is a link how to do the clean uninstall.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-do-a-clean-uninstall-of-Autodesk-Fusion-360.html

I hope this help. Please, let me know if the performance has been changed.

Thanks,

@Mike.Grau

Hello Mike -

I've already taken all of those steps over the week-end and nothing changed.
As I mentioned, I believe the saving issue is a performance issue caused by the same problems described here:
http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/major-issue-july-2016-has-made-fusion-unusabl...

And hopefully once you guys fix this last update which destroyed Fusion's performance, saving/closing files will resume normally.

This saving problem only occurs in fact, with older files- just like the performance issue that has broken previous work files but doesn't effect newly created ones.

Hi Gilad,

Sorry about these issues with save performance. This has also affected auto-save performance (they both share the same lower level code, as one would expect). And since auto-save kicks in every 5 minutes (if required), it has negatively affected overall Fusion performance.

Good news is that the responsible engineering team has already fixed the save problem internally, and are now actively working to roll it out to the field.

Again, we're sorry about the troubles.
Regards,
Ahsan
