RESOLVED - Fusion 360 service degradation (can't get online?)

All – we are currently experiencing intermittent service issues that may impact your ability to login and/or return from being taken into offline mode.  The issue may also affect your ability to run a cloud solve Simulation.  We are actively working on repairing the problem and appreciate your patience (NOTE - we have an update planned for the evening of 10/13/16 that should fix the issue).

Below is a workaround that should allow you to return online and/or complete a cloud solve, please let me know if you have any trouble.  In order for the cloud solve to re-initiate, please make an change to the affected document after removing the XML file.

Remove the LoginState.xml file and Restart Fusion 360:

Mac OS

  1. Close Fusion 360
  2. In Terminal, type the below command and press enter
    open ~/library/
  3. In the Subsequent Finder window (Macintosh HD > Users > %Profile% > Library), browse to
    ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Web Services
NOTE - if you are on a version from the Mac App Store, browse to:  ~/Library/Containers/com.autodesk.mas.fusion360/Data/Library/Application Support/Autodesk
  4. In the Web Services (or Autodesk for App Store) Directory, locate the LoginState.xml file
  5. Right click on LoginState.xml and select Move to Trash
  6. Restart Fusion 360

Windows

  1. Close Fusion 360
  2. In windows explorer browse to   %localappdata%\autodesk\web services
  3. In the Web Services directory, right lick on the LoginState.xml file and select delete
  4. Restart Fusion 360

UPDATE - Data uploads and imports are back to normal and you should not be seeing any delays. The original issue of the inability to login/return from offline may still exist for some users, and if so, please follow the suggested workaround below.

I managed to get out of Offline mode by closing Fusion 360 and deleting the loginstate file found here:  ~/Library/Containers/com.autodesk.mas.fusion360/Data/Library/Application Support/Autodesk.

Would you please update your original post letting people know that if they downloaded the file from the App store the path to LoginState.xml is different? Took me some confusion and digging through the thread to figure out why I couldn't find the file.

Hey @Zero__ good to hear!  The instructions for App store versions are in the original post, but i'll highlight them to help it stand out a bit more.

@21652157 - were you able to access the rest of your data within Fusion 360, but only the render was not working?

Brian,

I was only able to access a few offline models. I did not try using Render. It appears that cloud service has been restored at this time.

Jerry

Thanks @21652157 and @JBerns - it does appear we had some short isolated issues in the early morning hours, which likely caused what you were seeing.

Having the same offline problem as I had yesterday. There's no LoginState.xml file for me to delete anymore. What do I do?

That seems unusual. Were you prompted to login when you started Fusion?

Can you send your logs to us for further investigation? Can be found under the Help menu->Diagnostic Log Files.

Thanks,

Bankim

All - this issue which prevented some users returning online after being taken offline has been fixed with this evenings update.  Please let me know if you are still experiencing this issue!

Hello Brian and others

my Fusion updated today to the current version 2.0.2455 and I am forced to offline mode. I already did your solution and deleted the LoginState.xml file but this isnt working.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for sharing the log files.
As we could see the issue might be related to Network connectivity / Proxy settings.

Please, keep us update if any of the suggestions helped.

Thanks,

Hello Mike and Brian

it seems to be an issue while changing my email address. After changing the email address on https://accounts.autodesk.com/ back to my previous email it is working fine.

Seems to be impossible to change the email (credential) information for Fusion 360.

It would be nice to use more than one email, or at least an alternative email, for an account like it is possible on Github. This would be much better to invite others.

Thanks for your help!

Greetings Fabi

I'm still not able to get back to working online.

Windows 10, Fusion worked fine till last week.

Edit//: Working fine now. Haven't changed anything.
